As with most aspects of human interaction, many problems in the field of IT Governance arise simply because of mis-communication.  The parties are each trying hard, but language, experience and conceptual barriers conspire to block the key messages in both directions.

Because we come from an IT background and have learned to speak the language of the boardroom, we are ideally equipped to help IT specialists, Directors and Executives work to break down the barriers to effective communication.

When Directors need to understand and enquire into complex IT matters, we provide them with individual assistance, to help them comprehend their board papers and supporting documents, and to equip them with relevant, meaningful questions to ask of presenters.

When CIO's and IT Specialists are called on to present necessarily complex technical matters to the board we help them plan and deliver the relevant materials and information.  Or we can simply review and comment on the final deliverable. And we can postulate questions that your Directors might ask, so that you can be ready for them.

In providing these services, we typically work to break down complexity into its readily understood elements.  We help to develop models and diagrams, and translate language.  We work with you to develop analogies and metaphors to improve understanding.

Our support services are available on a time and materials basis, with a sliding fee scale depending on the amount of time spent.  We operate in the strictest confidence, and will of course be pleased to execute a non-disclosure agreement with you if you so desire.  We are able to provide email exchange of documents for review, and we always provide written confirmation of key points in any commentary on board papers, whether in draft or final form.
