Infonomics
- Specialising in IT Governance
Inform Services
Infonomics uses the proven Radar Diagnostic tools, techniques and checklists developed originally by The Experience Network / BCT Governance to assess the health of IT Governance and IT Activities.
Diagnostics are available at three levels:
Preliminary Profiling - selected individuals complete a ten minute checklist to enable development of a coarse profile of significant matters worthy of further attention (see a sample);
Structured Interviews - selected individuals (typically key stakeholders and operatives) are interviewed using a comprehensive checklist of good practice and outcomes. Information collected in the interviews is used to prepare a comprehensive report setting out strengths and weaknesses, with discussion on possible problem causes and corrective actions that might be taken (see a sample);
In depth Inspection - Infonomics collects and inspects key deliverables, testing them against a long checklist of good practice. The assessment report presents the relative scores, with discussion of key traits in the deliverables that underpin the scoring. When done in conjunction with the Structured Interviews, this process provides an "internal vs external" comparison.
Diagnostics are offered for:
360o view of IT Governance and Activity - a 60 point summary of key good practice elements spanning development of strategy, formulation of plans, delivery of initiatives and operation of systems;
IT Strategy - a more detailed look at the process and outcomes associated with developing an IT Strategy;
Business Case - a detailed view of the coverage and acceptability of plans for significant investment in IT initiatives;
Project - looks at project organisation and approach to confirm that necessary ingredients of success are instilled from the outset and remain effective throughout the project;
Operation - looks at day to day management and control of IT operations to confirm that business survival is not unduly compromised by weakness in the IT environment.
Systems - provides a snapshot of the relative health of key IT systems, to confirm that they are effective, relevant and viable.
Governance Snapshot - This 30 point assessment provides a broad understanding of the operation and effectiveness of the IT Governance regime.
AS8015 Alignment Check. This new diagnostic is based on the emerging recommendations of the new Australian Standard for Governance of Information and Communication Technology .
